Biography of Johnny Boggs
Johnny Boggs is a biological scientist with EFETAC’s Southern Global Change Program. His current research includes investigating the impacts of nitrogen deposition on nutrient cycling and forest productivity in eastern U.S. forests and the effectiveness of stream management zones on water quality protection in the piedmont of North Carolina. He is also collaborating with other research scientists to understand the effects of forest management and climate on carbon sequestration. Additionally, Johnny performs outreach services to increase the number of minorities employed by the USDA Forest Service. He received both his B.S. in environment science (1996) and M.S. in plant and soil science (1998) from Alabama A&M University.
